Forced readjustment, putting on a face Chewing my tongue through all this small talk Refrain: And if I refuse to pretend, can we still be friends? And if I refuse to pretend, can we still be friends? Play the game, play the game – are you in or out? Are you in or out? As the pieces crumble and fall How long can we reconstruct ourselves? My wall is poor – do I make you uncomfortable? Refrain I had a dance with crazy, almost split apart in two Pretending not to see through this wall, this wall, this wall Refrain

Bang Bang 06:09
What some people call low Just a new height to go What some people call high Just a new low in the sky Bang, bang: you call the shots And save us any extra spots Bang, bang: you rule the show Now is it high or low you go? Been going up and down A sad and happy clown To take your life and pull it out from underground Bang, bang: you set the stage Fill it with either love or rage Bang, bang: tell me my age Now is it you or I encaged? Refrain: Mmm, I wish Mmm, I wish Mmm, I wish The bang, bang just didn’t exist How some people say hi Others just say goodbye How some people let go Others just cling you know Bang, bang: you make the call Is it you or I who falls? Bang, bang: still standing still Why is my back against the wall? Refrain Bang, bang... bang, bang... bang bang
3.
This Tree 02:55
I had a dream I was soaring From the heavens to the seas Suspended in a swing From somewhere in the sky Bounding from clouds Through air, through water And back again, with no fear Refrain: This world, this world is limitless This cord, this cord is boundless This tree, this tree is bigger than me This tree, this tree is bigger than me Never know which way the leaves are gonna blow… Never know which branch you might go out on… This tree, this tree is bigger than me This tree, this tree is bigger than me
4.
Take It Back 06:08
I am more than what you saw in me I am more than what we made-believe I am more than the power beneath And you are more, you are more to me Refrain: We take it back from them, just once before they take it back We take it back from them, just once before they take it back We go... just once before they take it back We go... just once before they take it back I forgot how to live for free I have torn up my hands and feet I told you don’t ever lose the beat And you are more, you are more to me Refrain

Where do I begin? You know our actions just leave my head swimming Take a noose and tighten it, then wonder why we’re not winning We might have good intentions, or at least we’re pretty good at pretending I don’t think we have a clue, just how close we are to an ending What’s life mean to you? Is it just a joy-ride, passing through? I wonder if you think about the girls and boys come after you We seem to believe that we can spit on everything and we will continue to breathe We must be nuts Refrain: The insanity of humanity People are pretty nuts The insanity of humanity We trash it, then ask what’s the fuss? People just can’t keep destroying this planet and expect it to just keep supporting us We must be nuts F-fucking nuts, f-fucking nuts, f-fucking nuts, f-fucking nuts F-fucking nuts, f-fucking nuts, f-fucking nuts, f-fucking nuts We take what we want then throw it out Then somehow we have our doubts When people say “You’ve got to care” We say “Why? It will always be here” We trash the earth, then wonder why suddenly we’re saying goodbye Refrain We burn some oil, then wonder why Suddenly it’s clouding our sky Things are fine, or so it seems Suddenly there’s a million pipe dreams People start to get angry when you tell them maybe we need to do things a little differently We must be nuts Where do I begin? You know our actions just leave my head swimming Take a noose and tighten it, then wonder why we’re not winning We might have good intentions, or at least we’re pretty good at pretending I don’t think we have a clue, just how close we are to an ending Just how close we are to an ending Please don’t let this be our ending

Was a kid went away To forget yesterday Hid among the hipper crowds Not too quiet, not too loud Found a nice middle-of-the-road, and said “That’s where I wanna go now” “That’s where I wanna go now” Was a kid down below “Say how’d you get so high, ya know? I’ve been waiting all my life, Well, you know it just don’t seem right!” And a kid up above, said “What, you tired of the push and shove? Whatcha doing down below? Don’t you know where you wanna go now? Don’t you know where you wanna go now?” Refrain: So what am I standing on? Just one life or ten thousand strong? Who’s gonna pay the price? Who’s gonna make the required sacrifice? Required sacrifice Was a kid, paid the price For somebody’s sacrifice Never knew where, never knew who Couldn’t tell what was fake or true And somebody up in the air, said “I know all about down there: Gotta learn how to push and shove If you ever wanna get above!” Refrain (x2)

Deerfish 05:16
I thought that I was over you Yeah I’ve got a new love now But someone said your name And caught me like a deer in the headlights A mouth wide open like a fish A heart flip-flopping on the floor And I’m gasping for air And I’m gasping for air I knew that I would fall for you But I didn’t know how hard I didn’t know how hard You slipped back from the back of my mind Like a shadow clouding my vision You slipped back from the back of my mind Like a shadow clouding my vision (repeat lyrics twice)

Riddles 07:27
I woke up, sun was shining and the sky was blue Colors on the trees had changed with visions soft and new Oh to be the one to change them Oh to know the tune Riddles of the world keep clouding up my afternoon Riddles of the world keep clouding up my afternoon I looked out one fine morning water filled the air Splashed through ’til my head was all that was left standing there Oh the colored lights that passed and flashed beneath my feet Riddles of the world keep setting me up for defeat Riddles of the world keep setting me up for defeat Built a house above the water, watched it flowing past Cast a net into the water, colors didn’t last Made some extra colors printed in a magazine Riddles of the world keep sticking me right in-between Riddles of the world keep sticking me right in-between Night was cold and water colder, made a fire there Smokestacks rose above the water, ‘filtering the air’ Water churned and fire smoldered, made it stronger still Riddles of the world keep tasting like a bitter pill Riddles of the world keep tasting like a bitter pill I woke up one fine morning and the sky was grey Colors that had once been free, well, now you had to pay Waited for the sky to thunder, rain to clear the air Riddles of the world were answered: now the world was ‘fair’ Riddles of the world were answered: now the world was ‘fair’ Jumped back in my car and drove to where the sky was blue Others jumped in theirs cause they all had the same thought too Pushed the grey sky ever-further, blue it could not last Riddles of the world are answered in the looking glass Riddles of the world are answered in the looking glass Broke the looking glass and tossed it in a dirtied stream No one wants to see their face in something so unclean Made a glass that’s so much better, show’s me what I ask Riddles of the world have become someone else’s task Riddles of the world have become someone else’s task Sky cracked open like a curse as if to say goodbye In my room took those blue pages, pasted them up high Covered walls with pictures of the trees in magazines Riddles of the world said “don’t cry, everything’s a dream” Riddles of the world said “don’t cry, everything’s a dream” Visions of the world were singing Visions of the world were singing Visions of the world were singing
